Privacy

The short version: Whenna shows no ads, uses no third-party trackers, and never sells or shares your data. We store only what makes your plans work — and you can see, download, or delete all of it yourself, anytime.

What we store

• Plan data you enter. Plan titles, dates, the place field, the first names participants type, the time slots they tap, and discussion messages on plans where discussion is turned on. Anyone with a plan's link can see that plan — that's the product.
• Email addresses, only when you give them. Emails are collected solely when you explicitly subscribe: creator alerts, event reminders, discussion updates, or an email sign-in. Each is used only for the thing you asked for, and every email we send contains a one-tap unsubscribe.
• Optional account data. If you create an account: your email (if you link one) and passkey public keys. Passkeys are verified on your device; we never see your face, fingerprint, or a password.
• First-party analytics. A random anonymous identifier (see cookies below) and product events like "a plan was created". No names, no fingerprinting, no third-party analytics services — the data never leaves our servers.

What we never do

• No advertising, ad networks, or cross-site tracking of any kind.
• No selling, renting, or sharing personal data with third parties.
• No reading your calendar — "add to calendar" hands an event file to your calendar app; nothing comes back to us.

Video calls

Calls are end-to-end encrypted and flow directly between participants' devices — audio and video never pass through our servers and are never recorded. Our server only relays the small encrypted connection-setup messages. On networks that block direct connections, a relay (TURN) may forward the traffic; the relay carries only the already-encrypted stream and cannot decrypt any of it.

Cookies & device storage

• vid — a random anonymous ID used for first-party usage statistics (1 year).
• usr — your session, set only if you sign in (90 days).
• Your browser's local storage keeps your language choice and the plans you made on this device, so they're easy to find again. That data stays on your device.

How long we keep things

Plans with fixed dates are deleted automatically 60 days after their last date. Recurring plans are deleted after 90 days without activity. Raw analytics events are rolled into daily totals and the raw entries discarded. Email subscriptions end the moment you unsubscribe.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and everywhere else)

• See & export: signed-in users can download everything tied to their account at /me → "Download your data".
• Delete: "Delete account" at /me erases your account, sign-ins, and email subscriptions immediately. Plan creators can delete any plan they made from the plan page.
• Unsubscribe: one tap, in the footer of every email we send.
• For anything else — including requests about data not tied to an account — email [email protected] and we'll resolve it within 30 days.

Where data lives

On servers we operate in the United States, encrypted in transit (HTTPS everywhere). Emails are sent from our own domain with DKIM authentication.

Children

Whenna is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
